Take another look at Radar

If you haven’t explored Radar recently, it’s worth taking another look. Strategi Institute has been introducing a new generation of interactive CPD modules across a wide range of topics, designed to make professional development practical, relevant and easier to engage with. That gives you more choice to match your learning to your professional development plan, rather than treating CPD as a one-size-fits-all exercise.

Closing the Gaps is a good place to start

Closing the Gaps is one example of the newer interactive format – and it tackles an important area of professional development for existing advisers.

The New Zealand Certificate in Financial Services (Level 5) Version 3 is now the qualification new advisers complete. Existing advisers don’t need to complete the new qualification, but they do need to continue maintaining and developing their competence, knowledge and skill under Code Standard 9.

Strategi Institute has compared earlier versions of the Level 5 qualification with Version 3, identified areas where existing advisers may need to update their knowledge and built these into three practical, self-paced Closing the Gaps modules.

In other words, we’ve done the mapping work for you.

And the new format is getting great feedback. One FAP Principal who completed Closing the Gaps told us:

Get your CPD moving

Check your professional development plan, choose your next piece of learning and make sure your CPD log is current. Then keep working through your plan progressively – rather than leaving yourself with a catch-up job at the end of the year.
